As a filmmaker, In 2008 he started to record himself dancing and posting on the internet beginning of the Youtube era. self-taught and exploring deeper into editing and camera work, he ended up going to film school at NW Film Center. A 2 year program gaining his certification in 2016. His graduation short film "We're From Here," about three Portland dancers, toured the film festival circuit and picked up two Best Documentary awards along the way. Later on His dance film "What Is Real?" was awarded "Best Cinematography" at the Portland Dance Film Festival in 2018. In 2020, Conrad started his video business Lone Heron Films and just came out with his first feature documentary film "Transcend: A Boogie Frantick Story"
